TV Forecast’s Macworld Review
October 8th, 2008
The iPhone edition of TV Forecast just received a terrific review courtesy of Dan Frakes of Macworld:
TV Forecast is not a TV guide, and it wasn’t designed to be. It’s a way to track particular TV shows to see when the next new episode of each will air. And for that task, it’s very good—and, surprisingly, fun. For the price of a single HD episode of your favorite show on iTunes, you’ll never miss an episode again, and you don’t have to wonder whether this week’s show is new or a rerun.
It was awarded 4 stars.
I don’t yet have the iPhone app, but I do use your widget and have found it extremely useful! I think the only thing holding me back from purchasing the iPhone app is what was touched upon in this review:
“One feature I’d love to see is a way to sync your shows between the Dashboard, Web, and iPhone versions.”
I know a number of people that keep their favorite TV shows already in a list on tv.com – myself included. Perhaps you could contact CNet and find out if they would be willing to work with you on a syncing protocol with their account management system. At the least, a simple XML presentation of the episode list made available via their existing authentication system would be handy.
Thanks for a great widget, and what appears to be a fantastic iPhone app.

I really do love this widget. Great work. I would love to see the addition of Episode and Season numbers to the listings. It would make an excellent app even better.
Thanks!
Congrats Matt – of course we all knew it was great from the start…
