Last night, I needed to do my first bit of animation with CS3. I quickly discovered that the rumors were true: no more ImageReady in CS3. So how do you get ImageReady functionality? Specifically, how do you create animations? Simple! Open the newly introduced Animation panel (Window > Animation).

From a post of mine back in November 2005:

ImageReady is an absolute arse. I just wish Adobe would get rid of the thing and bundle the functionality into Photoshop.

Thank goodness they finally did.
